“नाही “(nAhI) is the word used for
negation in Marathi.
Simple present
tense
The sentence
structure is
Subjective/Doer verb+त(t) नाही (nAhI)/नाहीस(nAhIs)/नाहीत nAhIt
Selection of “नाही “/“नाहीस” /“नाहीत” depends on pronoun. Below table list

Present Continuous Tense
Negative Sentence structure is :-

Examples :-

ते/त्या/ती नाचत आहेत --> ते/त्या/ती नाचत नाही आहेत

You are dancing. --> You are not dancing.

तू नाचत आहेस(tU nAchat Ahes) --> तू नाचत नाही आहेस(tU nAchat nAhI Ahes)
Present
Perfect Tense
You know how
to create positive sentences in Present Perfect Tense.
To make it negative,
just add “नाही “(nAhI) before the form of असणे(“asaNe”)
e.g.
I have opened box --> I have not opened box
I have opened box --> I have not opened box
मी खोका उघडला आहे --> मी खोका उघडला नाही आहे
(mI khokA ughaDalA Ahe) (mI khokA ughaDalA nAhI Ahe)
(mI khokA ughaDalA Ahe) (mI khokA ughaDalA nAhI Ahe)
