मावशी, भेंडी कशी दिली ?

Five Rupees for a quarter kilogram
पाच ला पाव  (pAcha lA pAv  )
What is cost of half k.g.
अर्धाचे किती ? (ardhAche kitI ? )
Ten for half
दहाला अर्धा. (dahAlA ardhA. )
And cabbage?
आणि कोबी ? (ANi kobI ?)
Ten for quarter k.g..
Eighteen for half k.g.
दहाला पाव; अठरा ला अर्धा.
(dahAlA pAv; aTharA lA ardhA )
It is too expensive
खूप महाग आहे हो.  (khUp mahAg Ahe ho.  )
Take ten rupees for half k.g.
दहाला अर्धा द्या. (dahAlA ardhA dyA. )
Can not afford it madam
नाही परवडत बाई (nAhI paravaDat bAI )
Ok. Take fifteen for half k.g.
बरं. पंधराला अर्धा द्या.
(barM. paMdharAlA ardhA dyA. )
Ok. Take it.

त्या भाज्या आणि लिंबं; सगळं धरून वीस झाले.

I don’t want lady fingers
मला भेंडी नको. (malA bheMDI nako. )
