In English we specify time as "a.m." and "p.m.". In Marathi we say time by explicitly specifying morning/afternoon/evening/night

Telling date in Marathi
In Marathi, English names of months are used in day to day conversations. The Indian/Hindu months are used during religious discussions or rituals or specifying рдоुрд╣ूрд░्рдд(muhUrt) of marriage etc.
Date = рддाрд░ीрдЦ (tArIkh). It is feminine word.
Unlike in English, we so not use words first, second, third .. thirty-first etc. to indicate date. In Marathi, actual numbers i.e. one, two ... thirty one etc. is used. e.g.
What date is it today ? -> рдЖрдЬ рдХाрдп рддाрд░ीрдЦ рдЖрд╣े ? (Aj kAy tArIkh Ahe ?
It was 1st July yesterday -> рдХाрд▓ рез рдЬुрд▓ै рд╣ोрддी. (kAl 1 julai hotI.)
It was 1st yesterday. -> рдХाрд▓ рдПрдХ рддाрд░ीрдЦ рд╣ोрддी. (kAl ek tArIkh hotI.)
It is 2nd July today -> рдЖрдЬ рджोрди рдЬुрд▓ै рдЖрд╣े. (Aj don julai Ahe.)
The word рд╡ेрд│(veL) means time. But when its gender changes, its meaning changes a bit. I have tried to explain below these flavours.
рд╡ेрд│(veL) (feminine) - indicates specific time
рд╡ेрд│(veL) (masculine) - indicates duration
рд╡ेрд│ा (veLA) - indicates number of repetitions
What time is the program at ? -> рдХाрд░्рдпрдХ्рд░рдоाрдЪी рд╡ेрд│ рдХाрдп ? (kAryakramAchI veL kAy ?)
How long will the program last ? -> рдХाрд░्рдпрдХ्рд░рдо рдХिрддी рд╡ेрд│ рдЖрд╣े ? рдХाрд░्рдпрдХ्рд░рдо рдХिрддी рд╡ेрд│ाрдЪा рдЖрд╣े ? (kAryakram kitI veL Ahe ? kAryakram kitI veLAchA Ahe ?)
How many times have you watched this program ? -> рд╣ा рдХाрд░्рдпрдХ्рд░рдо рддू рдХिрддी рд╡ेрд│ा рдмрдШिрддрд▓ा рдЖрд╣ेрд╕ ? (hA kAryakram tU kitI veLA baghitalA Ahes ?)
Based on the gender the samanyroop form also changes.
рд╡ेрд│(veL) (f.) - samanyroop form is рд╡ेрд│े(veLe). With prepositions, words will read like рд╡ेрд│ेрд╕ाрдаी (veLesAThI), рд╡ेрд│ेрдд(veLet), рд╡ेрд│ेрдиंрддрд░(veLenMtar),,, рд╡ेрд│ेрдоुрд│े(veLemuLe), рд╡ेрд│ेрдЖрдзी(veLeAdhI)
рд╡ेрд│(veL) (m.) - samanyroop form is рд╡ेрд│ा(veLA). With prepositions, words will read like рд╡ेрд│ाрд╕ाрдаी (veLAsAThI), рд╡ेрд│ाрдд(veLAt), рд╡ेрд│ाрдиंрддрд░(veLAnMtar), рд╡ेрд│ाрдоुрд│े(veLAmuLe), рд╡ेрд│ाрдЖрдзी(veLAAdhI)
Not all preposition will make sense here, but some valid examples are
рд╡ेрд│ेрдд (veLet) - in time,
рд╡ेрд│ेрд╡рд░(veLevar) - on time
рдд्рдпा рд╡ेрд│ाрд╕ाрдаी (veLAsAThI) - for that time duration
рдд्рдпा рд╡ेрд│ाрдкुрд░рддे (veLApurate) - limited to that time duration
etc.
Let's read few sentences.
Will you reach in time / on time ? -> рддू рд╡ेрд│ेрдд/рд╡ेрд│ेрд╡рд░ рдкोрдЪрд╢ीрд▓ рдХा ? (tU veLet/veLevar pochashIl kA ?)
Is the time for the program about to get over ? -> рдХाрд░्рдпрдХ्рд░рдоाрдЪा рд╡ेрд│ рд╕ंрдкрдд рдЖрд▓ा рдЖрд╣े рдХा ? (kAryakramAchA veL sMpat AlA Ahe kA ?)
I am busy from 10 to 11. Come after some time. -> рдоी рджрд╣ा рддे рдЕрдХрд░ा рдпा рд╡ेрд│ेрдд рдоी рдмिрдЭी рдЖрд╣े. рдеोрдб्рдпा рд╡ेрд│ाрдиे рдпा. (mI dahA te akarA yA veLet mI bijhI Ahe. thoDyA veLAne yA0
Other phrases related to рд╡ेрд│(veL)
